The M/A/B method — why directors fail

Most directors don't fail on what they never learned. They fail on what feels right but is illegal. Every question is tagged:

M — Memorization Remember the number. 14 days, 10 business days, $2,500, 90 days, 7 years, 8 years.
A — Application Apply the rule to a real boardroom scenario.
B — Bias trap The answer that feels fair but breaks the law — fining without a hearing, voting by secret ballot, trusting a handshake disclosure. Drill your B questions twice.

The numbers that decide elections, fines, and lawsuits

90 days to certify 4-year certificate 4 / 8 hrs annual CE 14-day notices 10 business days for records $2,500 bid threshold $100/day fines $125/day records penalty 7-year retention 8-year term limit

Questions about the product

Is this the DBPR certification course?

No. This is a practice exam that prepares you for the state-approved curriculum. It does not itself satisfy the certification requirement. A director must still complete the DBPR-approved (division-approved provider) curriculum within 90 days of election or appointment. A certification module is in development and will be announced separately.

What happens if I miss the 90-day deadline?

Under HB 1203, a director who fails to file certification on time is suspended from the board until compliant — and votes cast while suspended can be challenged. Don't wait for the quarter to end.

How long does my access last?

3 months from purchase, on the device and browser you paid from. Your progress is saved in that browser.

Is this legal advice?

No. This is exam preparation based on Florida Statutes Chapter 720. For a live dispute in your association, consult a Florida community-association attorney.
